Tom, a New York cab driver, blinded several years ago, is left alone when Lou, his only friend and caretaker decides to move to Vermont, but not before tipping off the social workers. The prickly, but lovable, Edna is assigned to Tom where they find much more in common with each other than they ever thought in this fantastic Christmas and New Year's story.
