His biographies of Michelangelo, Cleopatra, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, and George Washington are among the hallmarks of excellence for the Emmy award winning A&E series. As an actor he has starred in film, TV and theatre, and on Broadway in Same Time Next Year. He won an award from Theatre World for his show stopping Broadway appearance with Debbie Reynolds in the musical Irene.
