trained at Oxford and the National Theatre Company and made his film debut in The Taming of the Shrew, directed by Franco Zefferelli. He went on to work with Zefferelli in Romeo and Juliet as Tybalt and Jesus of Nazareth as John the Baptist. His films include Logan's Run, Cabaret, Murder on the Orient Express, Not of this Earth, and the Austin Powers trilogy. Michael has recorded a number of audiobooks, including a Grammy-nominated reading of Treasure Island, and his best-selling autobiography, Accidentally On Purpose.
