is best known as Gomez on The Addams Family. He first appeared in Charles Laughton's Major Barbara on Broadway, leading to his first film role in West Side Story. He proceeded to appear in the films That Touch of Mink, Viva Max, Get to Know Your Rabbit, The Brothers O'Toole, Freaky Friday, and The Killer Tomatoes as Dr. Gangrene. Among his favorite television roles are Buddy Ryan in Night Court and Ed LaSalle on Mary with Mary Tyler Moore. His one man show, Once Upon a Midnight, received great acclaim, where he starred as Edgar Allan Poe.
