received the coveted Granada Television Most Promising Actress Award and has since played leading roles, from Juliet to the Wicked Witch, in TV and theatre in the U.K., most memorably in the long running BBC comedy series English by Television. Since coming to the U.S. she has worked steadily in commercials and voice-overs, and more recently in the series The Cleaner and Life. Her happiest acting experience was appearing with her late husband, Peter Dennis, in CART’s The Upstart Crow.
