From there, he became the creative genius behind the Dick Van Dyke Show, and went on to direct many films, including Oh God! with George Burns and The Jerk with Steve Martin. In radio comedy, he is beloved for his many roles opposite Mel Brooks in The 2000 Year Old Man.
