began his stage career as a teen, with leading roles in Peer Gynt and Shaw's Devil's Disciple. After receiving a BA in psychology from UCLA, he enrolled in New York's Neighborhood Playhouse, where he was rewarded with a scholarship from the school's regents. He has accumulated more than 46 years of stage, television, and film work. His TV career began in 1960 with several roles on the series A Day in Court. He has since appeared more than 110 times on television in nearly 50 roles on such classic shows as Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Diagnosis: Murder, Babylon 5, and as Mr. Chekhov in Star Trek. His film work includes the first seven Star Trek films, among many others.
